Vintage Cake Stands for sale

I have been working on a mural project with my art class. This  involves countless hours spent in one of my favorite places, Salvation Army. While searching for plates in the school colors, I came across some beautiful, vintage plates. So beautiful I couldn't leave them collecting dust on the housewares shelf.  I decided to put them to good use and marry them with all of my random candlesticks. Thus this lovely collection of dessert and cake stands was born.

Here they are...ready to pretty up your next dessert table.

This 9" plate has a raised leaf design on the rim and a decoration of a pair of birds on a floral limb. It is marked Alfred Meakin, England, Reproduced from the Elephant Folio Edition of Audubon's Birds of America. BAND-TAILED PIGEON #367. Etched brass base. $40
Simple, feminine white plate on white base. $18

Vintage luncheon plate, measuring 9.5" across the rim, is from Royal Doulton's Dunbar collection, pattern D. 5508, discontinued 1955. Silver base. $35
11" vintage dinner plate with delicate gold leaf pattern around the edges and hand-painted flowers in the center. Antique silver base $40
Square, vintage dessert plate with silver rim and floral pattern. Silver base. $35
These unique pieces are on their way to our favorite flea market, Kane County. Follow this link for more info on the "Best of the Midwest" flea market.  http://www.kanecountyfleamarket.com/shopping-the-flea/show-dates-times/
